BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Aug 11, 2022 <br /> AT 04:12:57 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0856 <br /> END PAGE 0857 <br /> INSTRUMENT # 06213 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> • <br /> f — <br /> 111 <br /> t; <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF 0.509 ACRES OF LAND TO SANFORD <br /> LEE COUNTY PARTNERSHIP FOR PROSPERITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF JOINT OF <br /> PROVIDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO THE CITY OF SANFORD AND <br /> LEE COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, the Sanford Lee County Partnership for Prosperity d/b/a Sanford Area Growth <br /> Alliance, is a non-profit corporation formed under the State of North Carolina; and <br /> WHEREAS, since 2014 the City and County and SAGA have leased office space located at 115 <br /> Chatham Street in order to allow certain departments, both independent of both local <br /> governments and the joint departments of both local governments, to co-locate in the Buggy <br /> Factory to offer a"one-stop shop" for its citizens, with SAGA providing economic development <br /> services to both local governments and developers; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lee County will close on the property located at 115 Chatham Street, also known as <br /> the Buggy Building, on June 30, 2022, a further description of the property can be found at Book <br /> 1391 Page 48 in the Lee County Registry; and <br /> WHEREAS, SAGA will pay to Lee County Government $4,767.05 per month during the lease, <br /> which is set to expire June 30, 2032; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lee County Staff published notice of the Lee County Board of Commissioner's <br /> intent to adopt the lease df and said publication was published in The Sanford Herald on May 19, <br /> 2022 and at least thirty days has passed since said notice was provided; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />
