BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Aug 11, 2022 <br /> AT 04:10:42 pm <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0853 <br /> • <br /> END PAGE 0853 <br /> INSTRUMENT # 06211 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> mii <br /> * . . * <br /> A TRIBUTE RESOLUTION HONORING <br /> VETERAN'S SERVICES EMPLOYEE JOHN SANDROCK <br /> WHEREAS, John Sandrock has contributed greatly to the development of Lee County <br /> through his service at the Enrichment Center and the Lee County Veterans Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, John Sandrock came to work for Lee County Government Veterans <br /> Services part-time in July of 2009, became full-time in July of 2011, retired April 1, 2020, then <br /> returned part-time to assist the Veterans Affairs office from November 2020 to November 2021; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS, it was John Sandrock who brought the idea of a Lee County Veterans <br /> Council to the Lee County Board of Commissioners and established the Council on November 1, <br /> 2010, where he served as an officer and member of the Veterans Council until March 2020; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Veteran's Council has been instrumental in the construction and <br /> fundraising of the North Carolina Veterans Memorial in Broadway, NC; and, <br /> WHEREAS, John Sandrock's energy, kindness and graciousness has enriched those <br /> fortunate enough to know and work with him; and, <br /> WHEREAS, he was commended on a regular basis for his ability to work with the Lee <br /> County Veterans when filing claims and within the community; and, <br /> WHEREAS, John also loved working with the older adults in the Senior Center setting <br /> and always went the extra mile to attend a community event, assist with all activities of the <br /> Enrichment Center and was all around a valued member of the team with a staff that works so <br /> well together; and <br /> WHEREAS, the' Lee County Board of Commissioners wishes to recognize and <br /> acknowledge the valuable service rendered by John Sandrock to the people of Lee County and <br /> expresses gratitude to him for his service; and, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of <br /> Commissioners that a tribute is hereby bestowed upon John Sandrock for his numerous years of <br /> devoted service and meaningful contributions as means of expressing appreciation and offering <br />
