The Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, North Carolina met in a regular <br /> meeting in the Ruby McSwain Center, located at 2420 Tramway Road, Sanford NC, 27332, a <br /> change from its regular meeting place,but said venue change was properly noted, at 6:00 p.m. on <br /> May 16, 2022. <br /> Present: Chairman Kirk D. Smith, presiding, and Commissioners Bill Carver, Mark <br /> Lovick, Arianna Lavallee, Andre Knecht, Robert Reives, and Cameron Sharpe <br /> Absent: <br /> Also present: County Manager John Crumpton, County Attorney Whitney Parrish, <br /> Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter, and Deputy County Attorney/Clerk to <br /> the Board Jennifer Gamble <br /> * * * * * * <br /> County Attorney Whitney Parrish introduced the following resolution the title of which <br /> was read and copies of which had been previously distributed to each Commissioner: <br /> RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING IN CONNECTION <br /> WITH THE FINANCING OF THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners (the "Board") for the County of Lee, North <br /> Carolina (the "County") is considering the purchase of one parcel of property, an office building <br /> located at 115 Chatham Street, Sanford,NC, 27330 to be used by the County, the City of Sanford <br /> and Lee County Partnership for Prosperity, d/b/a Sanford Area Growth Alliance, for <br /> governmental purposes, and may rent additional space to other entities as needed, all pursuant to <br /> an installment financing arrangement; <br />
