0�,C I LJ • F • RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY THROUGH ONLINE PUBLIC AUCTION WHEREAS,the County of Lee owns equipment, as described on Attachment A, that are surplus to its needs; and, WHEREAS,the County of Lee will only accept bids above the minimum of$20,000 for equipment described on Attachment A; and, WHEREAS,North Carolina General Statute 153A-176 and 160A-270 allows the County to sell personal property at public auction upon approval of the Lee County Board Of Commissioners and after publication of a notice announcing the auction; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners as follows: 1. The Lee County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the sale at public auction the equipment as listed on Attachment A. 2. The Lee County Board of Commissioners authorizes the auction to be conducted through the County's website,by means of sealed bid. 3. Notice of the auction will be published at least ten(10) days before auction is set to occur. 4. The auction will be advertised on the County's website for a minimum of seven(7) days. 5. The terms of the sale are that the property is sold in its current condition, as is, and the County gives no warranty with respect to usability of the property; and 6. That the buyer will pay the full amount of his or her bid within five(5)business days of the conclusion of the auction. Failure to make payment within five(5)business days of the auction cancels the buyer's bid. 7. Buyer must remove the property from the site within 30 days of notice of the bid award. 8. The County reserves the right to withdraw any listed property from the auction at any time before the auction sale of that property. Dated this the 16th day of May, 2022 / ka, Ki D.
