?oo,{ 10 303 <br />Page 2 <br />The next item of business was to make an appointment <br />to the Sanford-Lee County Airport Commission to fill the unexpired term <br />of Douglas Moretz who had resigned. By secret ballot, Mr. Harold Kelly <br />received three (3) votes and Mr. Alton Cockrell received one vote.with <br />Mr. Kelly being appointed until June of 1982:. <br />The Board next considered a request from St. Luke United <br />Methodist Church for a refund in the amount of $52.93. Commissioner Wicker <br />made a motion to approve such a refund, seconded by Commissioner Funderburke, <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously approved. <br />The next item to come before the Board was the consideration <br />of a resolution opposing Medical Personnel Pool's attempt to start a second <br />Home Health Agency in Lee County. After some discussion, Commissioner <br />Nielsen made a motion that a similar resolution be adopted by Lee County <br />as was passed by Moore County, which motion was duly seconded by Commissioner <br />Funderburke, and upon a vote Commissioners Harmon, Nielsen and Funderburke <br />voted for it and Mr. Wicker voted against it. A copy is attached to these minutes. <br />Mr. Pressly Foushee appeared before the Board and requested <br />adoption of the attached map and description of the Tramway Fire Department. <br />After some discussion, Commissi.oner Nielsen moved that the map and description <br />be adopted. Commissioner Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Chairman Harmon informed the Board that a workshop would be <br />held on Tuesday, November 3, at McKimmon Center on the Jordan Lake Resevoir. <br />The County Manager discussed the generator at the old hospital, <br />with the Board, however, no action was taken. <br />The County Manager also informed the Board that he has received <br />inquiries from a resident of Quail Ridge regarding the Dog Ordinance. After <br />some discussion, it was suggested that the Dog Ordinance prepared by Mr. Hoyle <br />be given to the Sheriff's Department and the Health Department for their review. <br />The County Manager informed the Board that the proposed new <br />personnel policies had been sent.to each of them and that he would like to <br />discuss these new policies at the next meeting. <br />The Board briefly discussed the letter from AMI to the Depart- <br />ment of Health and Human Services regarding the Hill-Burton Recovery. <br />There being no further business before the Board, <br />the meeting was adjourned, i <br />CHAIRMAN <br />NORTH CAROLINA, LEE COUOTJ <br />Presented for registration on the..~ovv b .day <br />..~j~.-. <br />of._..__.
