BASIS The State is required to ensure benefits are available to the household no later than thirty (30)calendar days following the date of application. RATIONALE The intent of this measure is to ensure all regular FNS applications are processed within the required timeframe. A food-secure household means that all members of the household receiving FNS benefits have access to healthy and nutritious food to support the health and well-being of the family including children, the elderly and people with disabilities.
