A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION AND THE COUNTY OF LEE THIS AGREEMENT,made and entered into this the day of ,2022,by and between the County of Lee,hereinafter sometimes called"County", and the Lee County Board of Education,hereinafter sometimes call "Board". WITNESSETH WHEREAS, County and Board are mutually interested in developing and maintaining an adequate program of community recreation conducted by the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department under control of County and an adequate program of school athletics and physical education department under the control of the Board,and WHEREAS,Board and County desire to enter into an agreement which will aid each other and cooperate with each other in cultivation of citizenship by providing desirable programs and facilities for community and school athletics and physical education,and WHEREAS, in the interest of providing the best service to those entitled thereto with the least possible expenditure of public funds, full cooperation between the County and Board is necessary,to that end this Agreement is drawn. NOW, THEREFORE,both parties hereto agree as follows: County will have access to all school areas and facilities which are most suitable for County-sponsored recreation activities, and which are recommended by the Lee County Parks and Recreation Director, subject to approval of County and Board.This property that is subject of this agreement will be definitely described from time to time as part of Lee County Board of Education Administrative Regulation 5030-R, and scheduling will normally be made monthly and will be signed by the Lee County Parks and Recreation Director and the principal of said school where facilities are located, all subject to other terms and conditions set out in the agreement,and in accordance with Lee County Board of Education Policy 5030,"Community Use of School Facilities." If at any time during which the written activity schedule is in operation,the Lee County Parks and Recreation Director determines that there is a need for property or facilities which are not set out on the written schedule,he/she will contact the principal of said facility and by simple written agreement by the two of them, said property may be used by county under this agreement. Board will have access to all County areas and facilities which are most suitable for Board's athletic and physical education activities, which are recommended by school principals, subject to the approval of County and Board. This property that is subject of this agreement will be definitely described from time to time, and scheduling will normally be made monthly and will be signed by the Lee County Parks and Recreation Director and the principal of said school requesting facilities,all subject to other terms and conditions set out in the agreement, and in 1
