F Update on booster shots from the Health Director <br /> Health Director Heath Cain recommended that the public call 919-812-5744 to schedule <br /> an appointment to book a booster shot. Appointments are available Monday, Wednesday <br /> and Friday from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. A press release will be issued and placed on social <br /> media to distribute the information. The current positivity rate is down to 1.52%. <br /> VII. MANAGERS REPORTS <br /> VII.A County Manager's Interim Monthly <br /> County Manager John Crumpton provided an interim monthly report. Commissioner <br /> Carver requested copies of the non-profit requests, so they have been presented to <br /> the Board for review. Commissioner Reives asked for job descriptions for diversity, <br /> equity and inclusion staff and two were provided. The third request concerned ARPA <br /> funding. An accounting was provided in a memorandum providing a summary of the <br /> total award and a break down into categories between ARPA guidelines and the <br /> revenue loss category where the County is substituting $10,000,000 in revenue loss <br /> dollars. The summary shows a list of the committed funds. Lee County will receive <br /> as a part of the Opioid settlement $4,206,172 over an 18-year period. The funds <br /> have to be accounted separately. The first dispursement of$161,599 will be at the <br /> end of spring and a second disbursement of$355,388 will occur later in 2022. The <br /> Board will need to set up a local task force, which can be pulled from Project <br /> Lazarus and the City's Opioid Commission. The County must meet with community <br /> steakholders to develop a plan. The County Manager will be meeting with Moore <br /> County to talk about regional collaborations. Draft sketches of the multi-sports <br /> complex were provided with three proposed concepts. The County will be submitting <br /> them for feedback from the Parks and Recreation Commission and the Grow, Play, <br /> Succeed Committee. <br /> VIII.
