Dr. Bill Stone, Lee <br /> County Cooperative Extension Director, spoke about the theme "Farm Forward" <br /> recognizing our progressive farmers and the challenges farmers face in the modern <br /> world. Lee County "Ag Week"is a time designated each year during the fourth week <br /> in April, to celebrate the rich heritage of farms and farm families in Lee County, while <br /> also recognizing and embracing future agriculture challenges and opportunities <br /> through education, awareness and community engagement. A stakeholder breakfast <br /> will be held on April 25th at the McSwain Center. Ag Week will start with the opening <br /> of the Sanford Farmers'Market on April 23rd.
