BK:00025 PG:0003 <br />approximately 1,000 structures throughout the county will be eligible for better fire ratings. <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the creation of fire service districts as presented by the Fire <br />Advisory Board and attached map, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered prior action taken during the June 18 meeting in reference to an <br />appointment to the Lee County Fire Advisory Board. Chairman Shook refreshed the Board on action <br />taken in reference to the appointment of Ms. Amber Dunigan to the Fire Advisory Board (appointment <br />representing the Lee County Fire Fighters Association). After the June 18` Board meeting, Chairman <br />Shook was informed that the Fire Fighters Association wished to reappoint Mr. Royce Gaines to serve <br />another term. Ms. Shook stated she had spoken with Ms. Dunigan about the appointment and she was <br />willing to step down. Commissioner Parks moved that the Board reconsider the vote taken during the <br />June 18` meeting on the motion to appoint certain persons to the Fire Advisory Board. After discussion, <br />Chairman Shook asked for a show of hands of those in favor of reconsidering the vote on the motion to <br />appoint certain persons as members of the Fire Advisory Board. Upon a show of hands, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: Hayes <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a 6 to 1 vote. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to reappoint Mr. Royce Gaines to the Lee County Fire Advisory <br />Board to serve as the recommendation of the Fire Fighters Association. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to various boards and commissions. Clerk to the Board <br />Gaynell Lee presented applications for vacant positions on the following boards: <br />Americans with Disabilities Act Committee (ADA) <br />Board of Equalization and Review <br />Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing Authority <br />Lee County Planning Board <br />Rest Home - Nursing Home Advisory Board <br />Agriculture Advisory Board <br />Parks and Recreation Commission <br />Commissioner Womack moved to appoint Ms. Betty Turner - Shelton to the Americans with <br />Disabilities Act (ADA) Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
