BK:00025 PG:0002 <br />• FY 2012 -13 purchased vaccine fees for the Lee County Health Department (copy <br />attached), <br />• Renewal agreement for Employee Assistance Program Services with ETNA (copy <br />attached), <br />• Payment of Enterprise Agreement for Microsoft Software Licensing in the amount of <br />$88,984.44, <br />• Approval of Tax Collector's Annual Settlement (copies attached), and <br />• Resolution recognizing Tax Administrator Dwane Brinson (copy attached). <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows; <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Shook read and presented resolutions to retirees Tommy Godfrey, Anthony <br />Richardson, and Cliff Whitaker. A resolution was also read and presented to Tax Administrator Dwane <br />Brinson who will be leaving Lee County employment on August 3, 2012 for a position in Orange <br />County. <br />At this time the Board heard a presentation from Sheriff's Department staff in reference to the <br />Sheriff's Citizens Patrol Program. Lt. David Prevatte discussed the new program designed to <br />encourage citizens in the community to volunteer with the Sheriff's Office. The first eight graduates of <br />the program were presented awards and recognized. Volunteers will serve in a variety of roles <br />including special events, emergency disaster, office support, senior citizens welfare checks and patrol. <br />Lt. Prevatte stated another class will begin in late fall or early next year. Staff assisting with the <br />program was also recognized by Sheriff Tracy Carter. <br />No one signed up to speak during the Public Comments section of the meeting. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Lee County Planning Board in reference to a <br />rezoning request submitted by Boatmen Properties, LLC to rezone 1.13 acres of land located at 2711 <br />Jefferson Davis Highway from Residential Agricultural (RA) district to Highway Commercial (HC) <br />district. Planner Althea Thompson informed the Board that the Planning Board approved the rezoning <br />request. Commissioner Oldham moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board and <br />Ordinance to Amend the Official Zoning Map of Lee County, a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request to approve Lee County Fire Service Districts. Donald <br />Andrews, Chairman of the Lee County Fire Advisory Board referenced a public hearing held during the <br />June 18 meeting of the Board in reference to the creation of fire service districts.
