BK:00025 PG:0011 <br />LEE CO <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />RESOLUTION <br />OF RECOGNITION <br />FOR <br />GEORGE C. WHITAKER <br />WHEREAS, George Whitaker began employment with the Lee County Sheriff's Office <br />on October 14, 1988 as a Jailer; and <br />WHEREAS, George Whitaker was promoted to Jail Sergeant on September 1, 1989; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, George Whitaker was promoted to Deputy on November 1, 1992, Narcotics <br />Officer on January 20, 2003, and Lieutenant Detective on December 4, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, George Whitaker has demonstrated a deep commitment to his job, his <br />fellow employees and to the citizens of Lee County; and <br />WHEREAS, George Whitaker retired July 1, 2012, as Patrol Sergeant / Shift Supervisor <br />with 24 years of service; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to recognize the <br />achievements of George Whitaker during his service and to express its appreciation to <br />him for his dedicated service and contribution to Lee County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for Lee <br />County that it congratulates George C. Whitaker for a career of public service, which <br />has been characterized by a genuine interest in and concern for Lee County and it <br />wishes George C.
