BK:00025 PG:0041 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />d000co a000a0© cN <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />JOINT MEETING BETWEEN THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, <br />LEE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, <br />SANFORD CITY COUNCIL AND BROADWAY TOWN COMMISSIONERS <br />LEE COUNTY INNOVATION CENTER <br />5825 CLYDE RHYNE DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JULY 24, 2012 <br />The joint meeting of the Lee County Board of Commissioners, Lee County Economic <br />Development Corporation, Sanford City Council, and Broadway Town Commissioners, <br />convened at 5 p.m. at The Lee County Innovation Center, 5825 Clyde Rhyne Drive, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. Hayes, Larry "Doc" <br />Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, and James K. Womack. Commissioners <br />Robert T. Reives and Linda A. Shook were absent. Also attending were County Manager John <br />A. Crumpton and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee. <br />Donnie Oldham, Chairman of the Lee County Economic Development Corporation <br />welcomed everyone and recognized the different Boards in attendance. <br />Vice Chairman Charles Parks called the meeting to order for the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />Mayor Cornelia Oliver called the meeting to order for the Sanford City Council. <br />Broadway Mayor Donald Andrews stated a quorum was not present for the Broadway <br />Town Commissioners. <br />Attendees were separated into various groups to view short demonstrations on <br />pneumatics, welding, and simulated work environments. <br />Business owners from Portal Idea Navigation, Mertek Solutions and JMC Tool shared <br />positive business experiences at the conclusion of the meeting. <br />At the conclusion of the meeting, Commissioner Womack moved to adjourn the Lee <br />County Board of Commissioners meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />
