County of Lee Transit System Safety and Security Plan <br /> The County of Lee Transit System seeks input from both our governing board and staff in the <br /> development of the following Safety and Security Plan(SSP).We value this input and feel it adds <br /> assurance that a culture of safety is a high priority at the County of Lee Transit System.Our <br /> governing board provides input annually as part of their approval of the SSP.Staff is involved in <br /> reviewing various sections of the SSP throughout the year during monthly safety meetings or at the <br /> time an issue needs their input,enhancements are made to the plan.All agency staff implement the <br /> plan through their various roles and responsibilities. <br /> The Safety and Security Plan includes: <br /> • Fare Collection Policy <br /> • Training Manual <br /> • New Hire Policies and Procedures <br /> • Data Security <br /> • Safety and Security Evaluations <br /> • Personnel Files-annual driver evaluations <br /> • Hazardous Material Safety Data Sheets(and their physical location) <br /> Other Plans Included with possible impact of SSP <br /> • Local or regional emergency management plan <br /> • Continuity of Operations Plan(COOP) <br /> • County Asset Management Plan <br /> • Other agency evacuation plans that included transit <br /> Accountable Executive/Senior Management <br /> • Has final authority over how the Safety Program is developed and implemented <br /> • Controls financial resources required for system's operation in collaboration with the Lee County <br /> Finance Director <br /> • Collaborates with the Lee County Human Resources Director to conduct the system's operation <br /> • Retains ultimate responsibility for the safety performance of the system's operation <br /> Communication of Plan to Staff <br /> The County of Lee Transit System staff review a copy of the SSP during their initial new hire training program <br /> and updates to the plan are conveyed through the Transportation Coordinator via the following: <br /> • memorandums to each staff <br /> • notices posted on bulletin board in staff room <br /> • notices attached to each paycheck envelope <br /> • safety meetings <br /> • trainings on Safety and Security Plan(SSP) <br /> • SSP page updates requiring employee signature <br /> • other <br /> Any changes to the plan are discussed with employees to ensure they fully understand the change,policies or <br /> procedures effected and impacts to their daily responsibilities.A copy is given to staff that includes items <br /> such as the updates to the Drug and Alcohol Policy. <br />
