Representative Sauls provided a <br /> summary of local funding received from the State, which included$500,000 for the Depot Park <br /> revitalization; $500,000 from the Rural Infrastructure Authority for the farmers'market; Outreach <br /> Mission received$100,000; $10,000 for a mural project, which will highlight Steve Jones who led <br /> his high school football league in 1966, 1967 and 1969 to championship and in 1972 he was the <br /> ACC player of the year; $50,000 for the disabled section of the NC Veterans Memorial in <br /> Broadway; $9,000,000 for the Raleigh Executive Jetport to purchase land; $34,000,000 to expand <br /> the Water Treatment Plant; and$100,000 for the Railroad House Museum. Salaries for State <br /> employees and teachers received a 5%pay raise. The minimum wage was set at$15 dollars for <br /> non-certified school personnel and community college staff. $2,800 in bonuses was awarded to <br /> teachers using federal funds, along with $1,500 for law enforcement, correctional officers and <br /> staff. The death benefit was increased to $100,000 and was made retroactive for the families of <br /> 1 <br />
