G 0 8 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Womack moved to appoint Mr. Ed Underwood to the recently vacated position <br />on the Lee County Parks and Recreation Commission. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />At this time Mr. Julian Philpott, Chairman of the Central Carolina Corrimunity Board of <br />Trustees presented a resolution to the Board asking Commissioners to review, a�soon as possible, <br />alternative and economically feasible funding options to finance the cost of construction continuing <br />education building (estimated at $8,964.458.00) and making improvements /renovations to the Dennis <br />A. Wicker Civic Center (estimated at $3,273,493.00). A copy of the r esolution approved by the CCCC <br />Board of Trustees is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. No action <br />was taken. <br />Capt. Kent Everett with the Lee County Jail provided the'Board with information in reference to <br />the updated control room security panel for the Detention Center. He thanked Commissioners for their <br />quick response to the control issues and getting the new system in\pl_ ace' immediately. Staff is very <br />satisfied with the completed work. ! l ' / <br />f` <br />The Board considered the appointment Interim Tax Administrator. County Manager John <br />Crumpton stated that the current Tax Administrator wilhleave position with Lee County on August 3, <br />2012, and the County needs to appoint an Interim Administrator until a permanent one can be hired. <br />Mr. Crumpton recommended the Board appoint 0�ohnnieEclmonson who assisted the County with <br />the 2007 revaluation.
