Motion: Motion to grant a 30' temporary emergency access easement to MAD <br /> M&R LLC. <br /> Mover: Cameron Sharpe <br /> For: 6 —Arianna Lavallee, Dr. Andre Knecht, Cameron Sharpe, Kirk Smith, Bill Carver, <br /> Mark Lovick <br /> Absent: 1 — Robert Reives <br /> Motion Result: Passed <br /> Commissioner Reives arrived at 7:35 p.m. <br /> VI.F Lee County Project 4837-01-22 Lee County Horton Pool Bathhouse Renovation <br /> Award Recommendation <br /> After a competitive bid process conducted with the assistance of McGill and Associates, <br /> Project 4837-01-22 Lee County Horton Pool Bathhouse Renovation is recommended by <br /> Development Services Director Santiago Giraldo to be awarded to JM Thompson in the <br /> amount of$ 701,850. McGill and Associates have conducted a review and assesses <br /> that JMT is fully qualified to fulfill the requirements of this project as indicated in the bid <br /> documents. On January 10, 2022 proposals from three separate companies were <br /> publicly opened. The following companies submitted bids: JMT, Raleigh, NC ($701,850); <br /> Central Builders, Graham, NC ($759,000); Bar Construction, Greensboro, NC <br /> ($798,500). County Manager John Crumpton stated it was recommended that this <br /> project be broken up into the pool and bathhouse project to save on the general <br /> contractor fee and made a recommendation to fund projects with American Rescue Plan <br /> Act (ARPA) funds. These projects fall under the requirements for the Uniform Guidance. <br /> The funding for this project will be allocated from ARPA allocations. On January 10, 2022, <br /> proposals from four separate companies were publicly opened with the assistance of <br /> the Lee County Finance Department. The following companies submitted bids: <br /> Southeast Aquatics Group, Raleigh, NC ($549,509); Bar Construction, Greensboro, NC <br /> ($868,000); Central Builders, Graham, NC ($944,000); and JMT, Raleigh, NC <br /> ($1, 127,678). Funding for this project will be allocated from the American Rescue Plan <br /> Act (ARPA) allocations.
