Four representatives including of <br /> youth in the County appeared before the Board to voice their support for the <br /> formation of a Youth Council. Youth representatives included Daniel Brooks, Kinley <br /> Scott, Tyler Epps and Jocelyn Gomez. Commissioner Smith requested <br /> consideration of a line item for the upcoming budget related to the Youth Council. <br /> III. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> III.A Zoning Map Amendment (Rezoning) Application and Staff Report - 118 Perkins <br /> Road from RR to HC <br /> Planning Administrator Amy McNeil presented a rezoning application from Circle K <br /> Stores, Inc. to rezone a 0.45-acre tract of land developed with a single-family <br /> home addressed as 118 Perkins Road from Residential Restricted (RR) to <br /> Highway Commercial (HC). The property is owned by Samantha L. Hodges and is <br /> identified as Tax Parcel 9644- 57-0090- 00. The applicant intends to purchase and <br /> redevelop the parcel within the next few years and has indicated that having the <br /> same zoning district assigned to all of the parcels to be redeveloped will assist with <br /> the land entitlement process. <br /> Chairman Smith opened the public hearing for comment. <br /> The following person spoke in favor of the rezoning: <br /> Brian Downs, 5410 Trinity Road, Suite 102, Broadway, NC (Timmons <br /> Group) <br /> No one spoke in opposition to the rezoning. <br /> Chairman Smith closed the public hearing. <br /> 001-REZ@118 Perkinson Rd-BINDER.pdf <br /> 111.6 Zoning Map Amendment (Rezoning) Application and Staff Report - 244 acres on <br /> Farrell Rd from RA to HI <br /> Planning Administrator Amy McNeil presented a rezoning application from CSX <br /> Transportation to rezone a vacant 244-acre tract of land with frontage on Farrell <br /> Road (SR 1423) from Residential Agriculture (RA) to Heavy Industrial (HI). The <br /> applicant intends to purchase this parcel and develop a railroad yard.
