Dr. Crumpton reminded the Commissioners that comments for the Strategic Plan are
still being accepted through tomorrow. The Interlocal Committee meeting with the
City of Sanford included discussions related to water/sewer capital plans and
whether the County may be interested in buying capacity, an update on the Colon
Road site and what the City is doing at the County site to prepare for development
and address the unsuitable soil, and also discussed joint operations at the Buggy
Building. Three years are left on the Buggy Building lease and the owner is wanting
to sell the building and we're working with the City and SAGA to continue the one
stop shop. The Committee also went over the ARP list to discuss potential projects
and received update on County projects. Lee County Government currently has 27
people out due to COVID-19. Over the weekend, the Health Department was notified
of 600 new cases. Dr. Crumpton mentioned agreement with the City of Sanford that
expired in 2019 related to the old industrial park and the extension of water and
sewer. Commissioner Carver suggested discussing annexation to move the issue
along at the retreat.
County_Managers_Monthly_Report_Jan 10_2021.docx
Covid-19 Update 1-3-2022.pdf
VII.
