BK:00024 PG:0988 <br />After completing business in closed session, the regular meeting resumed with all members <br />present. Chairman Shook called the regular session back to order. <br />At this time the Board held a joint public hearing with members of the Lee County Planning <br />Board to consider a rezoning request by Boatmen Properties, LLC to rezone 1.13 acres of land located <br />at 2711 Jefferson Davis Highway from Residential Agriculture (RA) district to Highway Commercial <br />(HC) district. Planner Althea Thompson presented the rezoning request. <br />Chairman Shook opened the public hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. <br />The following spoke for / against the above referenced rezoning request: <br />• Brad Simpson, Simpson Construction — representing Boatmen Properties (stated <br />the rezoned property, if approved, would be used to construct a storage <br />warehouse). <br />Chairman Shook closed the public hearing. <br />At this time Planning Board members and staff moved to the Gordon Wicker Conference Room <br />to continue discussion of the rezoning request. A recommendation will be presented to Commissioners <br />at their July meeting for a vote. <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Hayes moved to adjourn the <br />meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting adjourned at <br />6:15 p.m. <br />ATTEST: <br />-You d. x �� <br />Li A.
