2012 - c: � <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />RESOLUTION <br />FOR APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM TAX COLLECTOR <br />WHEREAS, the position of Tax Administrator, which is the title of the combined <br />positions of Tax Collector (N.C. General Statute 105 -349) and County Assessor (N.C. <br />General Statute 105 -294) will be vacant effective August 3, 2012; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires to avoid an interruption in the <br />collection of taxes; and <br />WHEREAS, to keep the offices functioning while the Board decides whether or not to <br />appoint another Tax Administrator or a separate Collector it would be advisable to <br />appoint a temporary Tax Collector; and <br />WHEREAS, for the efficient administration of Tax Department affairs, it is advisable to <br />delegate authority to Mr. Johnnie Edminston to supervise said appointee; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Deborah Denette Fitzpatrick is appointed <br />temporary Tax Collector pending further action by this Board; <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the supervision of this appointment and the <br />daily management of the Tax Department are the responsibility of Mr. Johnnie <br />Edminston until a permanent Tax Administrator is appointed. <br />Adopted this 16 day of July 2012 <br />'4 ,'h"' <br />L46X,a A.
