AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br /> OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> WHEREAS, a request to amend the Official Zoning Map has been received from Savannah <br /> Livesay Gray to rezone one 2.24 acre tract of land off of Greenwood Road/Rocky Fork Church <br /> Road addressed as 2301 Greenwood Road (formerly a portion of a 62.4 acre tract of land that <br /> was recently subdivided), located east of the intersection of Rocky Fork Church Road and <br /> Greenwood Road, and identified as a portion of Tax Parcel 9539-84-5224-00, as depicted on Lee <br /> County Tax Map 9539.04 and 9539.02, from Residential Restricted (RR) to Residential <br /> Agricultural (RA); and, <br /> WHEREAS, said request has been presented to the Planning Board of Lee County; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County conducted a public hearing on October <br /> 18, 2021 to receive citizen input on the requested zoning map amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County approves the request to amend the <br /> Official Zoning Map of Lee County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> LEE COUNTY: <br /> The Official Zoning Map is hereby amended to rezone one 2.24 acre tract of land off of <br /> Greenwood Road/Rocky Fork Church Road addressed as 2301 Greenwood Road (formerly a <br /> portion of a 62.4 acre tract of land that was recently subdivided), located east of the intersection <br /> of Rocky Fork Church Road and Greenwood Road, and identified as a portion of Tax Parcel <br /> 9539-84-5224-00, as depicted on Lee County Tax Map 9539.04 and 9539.02, from Residential <br /> Restricted(RR)to Residential Agricultural (RA). See Exhibits A and B included for reference. <br /> In making this decision, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County finds that the proposed <br /> zoning map amendment complies with the long-range plan designation of Countryside because <br /> both the Residential Agricultural (RA) and Residential Restricted (RR) zoning districts are listed <br /> as current zoning districts for the long-range plan designation of Countryside and a single-family <br />
