` 1d ~ { ~ 329 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS Y FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, December 21, 1981 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Monday, December 21st, 1981, at 7:00 o'clock p. m. , in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, Z00 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commissioners John E. Dotterer, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke was absent when the meeting opened. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The Reverend James Caviness, Pastor of Center United Methodist Church, gave the invocation. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the minutes of the regular meeting held on December 7, 1981, be approved and ordered recorded. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke joined the meeting and participated in the further deliberations of the Board. The leasing of a computer with First Municipal Leasing Corporation, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, was approved, upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, seconded by Comm- issioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote: Representatives of the Tempting Community appeared before the Board and discussed the needs for water service in that area. Costs breakdown as prepared by Williams & Works, Inc. , were distributed and the matter discussed at some length. The representatives were advised of the difficulty in obtaining grant money at this time and no formal action was taken.
