i 0 0 10 339 MINUTES OF THE'REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, January 4, 1982 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room, second floor, County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, January 4th, 1982, at 9:30 o'clock a, m. Those present when the meeting opened were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John E. Dotterer was absent. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , the County Manager. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker presented a petition requesting that Secondary Road No. 1314 be paved. The petition was discussed and considered. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the petition be granted and that a resolution, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part here- of, be adopted asking the Department of Transportation to investigate the matter and to take appropriate action. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Board next considered and discussed the letter from Division Engineer Henry Jordan, which reviewed the highway projects which was an annual statement of expenditures for Lee County Secondary Road Construction Funds for the 1981 construction season.
