0 <br />a wa 349 <br />Sec. 9. Teasing and molesting. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to tease, bait, or in any way <br />molest any animal not belonging to him or legally under his control. <br />Sec. 10. Privilege license tax. License tags. <br />(a) It shall be unlawful for any pet owner to fail to provide the pet <br />with a privilege license tag to be issued by the county showing that the annual privilege <br />tax for keeping the pet has been paid in accordance with State law and local ordinance, <br />and to take such action as is necessary to insure that such privilege license tag is <br />worn by the pet at all times, except as herein provided. <br />(b) It shall be the duty of the county administrative staff to furnish <br />all persons paying the tax for the privilege of keeping a pet with a privilege license <br />tag which is to be of such color, shape, and taxture, as to clearly indicate the year <br />for which the tag has been issued. The tag is to contain a number or other desig- <br />nation, and a record is to be kept of the person to whom the tag has been mailed or <br />otherwise delivered. <br />(c) Privilege license tags issued under this section shall be valid for <br />the twelve-month period beginning January first. <br />(d) It shall be unlawful for any dog owner to fail to provide the dog <br />with a collar or harness to which a current license tag issued under this section is <br />securely attached. The collar or harness, with attached license tag, must be worn <br />at all times, except during the time the dog is hunting or is performing at shows, <br />obedience trials, tracking tests, field trials, schools or other events sanctioned and <br />supervised by a recognized organization. <br />(e) It shall be unlawful for any person to use for any pet a license <br />tag issued for a pet other than the one using the tag. <br />(f) Proof of a current rabies vaccination shall be required as a nec- <br />essary prerequisite to obtaining a privilege license tag under the provisions of this <br />section. <br />Sec. 11. Interference with enforcement of chapter. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to interfere with, hinder or molest <br />the Animal Control Section or its agents or animal control officers or veterinarians in <br />the performance of any duty authorized by this chapter, or to seek to release any <br />animal in the custody of such agents, except as otherwise specifically provided. <br />
