MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING V OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, January 18, 1982 The 'regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room, second floor, County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, January 18, 1982, at 7 o'clock p. m. Those present were Commiss- ioners John E. Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The meeting was opened with prayer given by the Reverend Richard Hobson, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the minutes of the regular meeting held on January 4, 1982, be approved and be recorded. Comm- issioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The draft of the Animal Control Ordinance was presented to the Board. The draft was discussed and amended. Commissioner John E. Dotterer then moved that the Animal Control Ordinance, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, be adopted. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Nielsen, Wicker and Harmon voted for it and Commissioner Funderburke voted against it. The Chairman ruled that the ordinance received a majority of those voting but was not unanimous and therefore will be considered at the next regular meeting of the Board as required by N. C. G. S. 153A-45.
