Commissioner Nielsen <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Funderburke, <br />Nielsen and Harmon voted for it and Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker voted <br />against it. The Chairman ruled that the motion was adopted by a majority vote. <br />Mr. Gunderson next reviewed with the Board a study he had <br />made on the effect of shifting medicare expense to the Federal Government and <br />shifting Food Stamp and AFDC expense to the State and County. <br />The Board next discussed with Mr. Gunderson and County <br />Manager Hartman, the memo from Mr. J. Donley Gardner, respecting the <br />indigent Care Program. The Board supported the position previously taken by <br />the County Manager in his dealings with the Central Carolina Hospital. <br />The roster of the Carolina Trace Volunteer Fire Department <br />was presented to the Board and reviewed. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, <br />moved that the appropriate County officials certify the roster to the appropriate <br />state officials as being approved, a copy of which is attached to these minutes <br />and by this reference made apart hereof. Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager next presented a Budget Amendment Appropria- <br />tion Adjustment #82020111. He reviewed the various'requests which had been pre- <br />sented and were incorporated within the budget adjustment, following which Comm- <br />issioner John E. Dotterer moved the budget amendment, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, be approved and adopted. Comm- <br />issioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners <br />Dotterer, Funderburke, Nielsen, Wicker and Harmon voted for it and no one voted <br />against it. <br />The Board, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously adopted, <br />adjourned the meeting to reconvene at noon, on Thursday, February 4, 1982, at the <br />Sheriff's Department to examine and inspect the trailer which is being considered <br />for use as office space by the Department of Social Servicels. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />CLERK <br />
