MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, February 1st, 1982 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room, second floor, County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, February 1, 1982, at 9:30 o'clock a. m. Those present were Comm- issioners John E. Dotterer, Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. None of the Commissioners were absent. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman K, S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by the Reverend C. L. May, of the First Baptist Church, in Sanford. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke moved that the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, January 18, 1982, be approved and ordered recorded. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The Board considered the Animal, Control Ordinance upon its second reading, it having passed its first reading by a majority vote on Monday, January 18, 1982. Commissioner John F. Dotterer moved that the Animal Control Ordinance, a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, be adopted. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Dotterer, Harmon, Nielsen, and Wicker voted for it and Commissioner Funderburke voted against it. The Chairman ruled that the Ordinance had received a majority of those voting on two readings, and therefore, was adopted, to be effective upon the date set forth in said Ordinance.
