BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Aug 20, 2021 <br /> AT 08:38:50 am <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0725 <br /> END PAGE 0725 <br /> INSTRUMENT# 06919 <br /> EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> t2)1 \I) <br /> * * <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF 2021 FUNDS <br /> WHEREAS, the American Rescue Plan Act was signed into law on March 11, 2021; and <br /> WHEREAS, the American Rescue Plan was passed to help assist with the recovery from the <br /> economic and health effects from the COVID-19 pandemic; and <br /> WHEREAS, part of the American Rescue Plan provides funding directly to local governments, <br /> including Lee County Government; and <br /> WHEREAS, before expenditure of the funds, the local government is required to adopt a <br /> resolution affirming that the local subdivision will spend the funding subject to the federal <br /> guidance related expenses as required under the Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, revenue received under the Act will be kept in a separate fund and will not be co- <br /> mingled with other revenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lee County Government will provide to the US Treasury any unspent balance of <br /> funds received; and <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lee County Board of Commissioners that: <br /> 1. We do hereby request the American Rescue Plan Act funding to be distributed and that <br /> by adopting this resolution, we affirm that the revenues will be spent for the purposes <br /> prescribed in the American Rescue Plan Act's guidance as described in 31 CFR, Part 35 <br /> and any applicable regulations, for necessary expenditures incurred. <br /> 2. The Board will adopt an official budget regarding these funds and will audit and maintain <br /> records in accordance with the Federal guidelines. <br /> 3.
