PUBLIC HEARING III.A Hold a public hearing on the need for emergency medical services in Lee County and the need for a franchise to cover those services County Attorney Whitney Parrish provided a statement regarding the EMS Advisory Committee and the process leading to the recommendation made by the Committee. The Committee voted 3-4 to move forward with the required public hearings and recommended Firsthealth of the Carolinas. There will be a second public hearing on August 16th at the Civic Center. The Board will take a vote on the franchise following the second public hearing in August.
