V. OLD BUSINESS V.A EMS Advisory Committee Recommendation County Attorney Whitney Parrish provided a summary of a recommendation made by the EMS Advisory Committee to appoint the County's EMS Franchise to First Health of the Carolinas. A memorandum has been provided that summarizes the process conducted by the EMS Advisory Committee over the last couple of months. Two applications were received: Central Carolina Hospital and FirstHealth of the Carolinas. The applicants presented information and were provided an opportunity to answer questions of committee members. The Advisory Committee voted to make a recommendation at their last meeting on June 9, 2021 to the Board of Commissioners. There will be two public hearings in August on August 2nd and the 16th. The properties were advertised in the Sanford Herald on June 30, 2021. No upset bids were submitted.
