III. PUBLIC HEARINGS III.A Public Hearing for Matters related to the financing for the purchase of the Marelli property Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter introduced the public hearing for the installment financing for the purchase of the Marelli property for Central Carolina Community College. Mrs. Minter stated that this is the next step in the purchase of the Marelli property. The purchase is being funded through a two- year installment financing agreement that will not exceed $7,400,000. The interest rate on the installment financing agreement is .65%. The installment financing agreement will be paid off with a financing related to the Central Carolina Community College Library and Lee Early College Classroom Building project. The public hearing was published in the Sanford Herald on May 26, 2021. Chairman Smith opened the meeting for comments. Mr. Jullian Philpot, 1920 Larksburg Drive, Sanford, NC and Board Chair of the CCCC Board of Trustees spoke in favor of the borrowing for the property purchase. No one spoke against the proposed borrowing and purchase. Chairman Smith closed the public hearing.
