The parcel of land is <br /> surrounded by the land the County owns known as 0.T. Sloan Park. The State <br /> Employees Credit Union is situated right across the street from the parcel. The <br /> parcel has recently come up for sale and the County is interested in purchasing the <br /> lot in order to expand features of 0.T. Sloan Park. The option to purchase is $5,000 <br /> and the purchase price of the property is $500,000. County Manager John Crumpton <br /> stated that he recommended proceeding with the purchase now since the price of <br /> property is going up.
