ZoZ l - 1 c ReSoloii o1 <br /> . - <br /> * ill• * <br /> 1- .. <br /> RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br /> AT US-15/501 AND DEEP RIVER ROAD INTERSECTON <br /> WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has submitted a request to use <br /> contingency funds to proceed with the design and installation of a recommended traffic signal at <br /> the intersection of US-15/501 and Deep River Road (SR 1466); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation recommends the installation of traffic signals to <br /> control the flow of traffic and increase safety at intersections that have an identified need as <br /> provided by a traffic control plan or traffic study; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to pursue the necessary funding, the Department of Transportation requires <br /> a resolution of support for the project from the County Board of Commissioners; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Lee County Board of Commissioners has considered the above described request <br /> and is in support of the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of US-15/501 and Deep <br /> River Road (SR 1466). <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners that it <br /> expresses its support of the above described project recommended by the North Carolina <br /> Department of Transportation and requests that the project proceed once the necessary funding has <br /> been established. <br /> Presented this 19`h day of May, 2021. <br /> . �.;;•,r , <I,' J K//MD <br /> Smith, Chairman <br /> t;� "k r; �r Lee County Board of Commissioners <br /> j\� 'IN, i <br /> % . ,y J, <br /> Y . /E;: FILED <br /> ,.-x r -r' / LEE COUNTY NC <br /> A.
