COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS <br /> Commissioner Carver stated they are meeting tomorrow with the Board of Education and <br /> requested comments or questions to address at the meeting be forwarded to the Chair. <br /> Would like to address the issues and be encouraging with the main focus to educate <br /> children. Commissioner Reives asked about the timeline for getting teachers vaccinated. <br /> Health Director Health Cain stated that most teachers will fall in Group 3 which will entail <br /> about 10 -15,000 people in the county. The County estimates beginning with Group 3 <br /> April 1, 2021. The Health Department is following the State guidelines. The State is <br /> tracking the localities and whether they are following the guidelines. The school nurses <br /> who are involved in vaccinating others are currently eligible to get vaccinated. People in <br /> Group 3 can be prioritized. County Manager John Crumpton would like to discuss <br /> prioritizing education workers in Group 3 and would like the Board of Education members <br /> to identify who would need to go first. Chairman Kirk Smith read aloud letters from former <br /> Commissioner Kevin Dodson's Family, Indira Everett and family, and a letter from <br /> supporters of President Trump thanking the Trump administration for their work. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> Motion: Motion to adjourn.
