BRITT <br /> REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> FILED Feb 15, 2021 <br /> AT 11:28:52 am <br /> BOOK 00003 <br /> START PAGE 0684 <br /> END PAGE 0684 <br /> INSTRUMENT # 01151 <br /> col1/4 EXCISE TAX (None) <br /> % 1 k1> <br /> * i# .dim *. <br /> 20 r,` `�Q <br /> 4i,CAR ~ <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF VEHICLES AS SURPLUS PROPERTY <br /> THROUGH ONLINE PUBLIC AUCTION <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Lee owns twelve (12) vehicles, as described on Attachment A, that are surplus <br /> to its needs; and, <br /> WHEREAS,North Carolina General Statute 153A-176 and 160A-176 allows the County to sell personal <br /> property at public auction upon approval of the Lee County Board of Commissioners and after public of a <br /> notice announcing the auction; and, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Lee County Board of Commissioners as follows: <br /> 1. The Lee County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the sale at public auction the twelve <br /> (12)vehicles as listed on Attachment A. <br /> 2. The Lee County Board of Commissioners authorizes the auction to be conducted through the <br /> Division of NC State Surplus Property, which conducts public auctions through electronic means. <br /> 3. The auction will be conducted beginning at a date and time determined by the NC State Surplus <br /> Property Division and that date and time will be advertised on the County's website. <br /> 4. Notice of said auction will be advertised on the County's website at least ten days before the <br /> auction takes place. <br /> 5. The terms of the sale are that the property is sold in its current condition, as is, and the County <br /> gives no warranty with respect to usability of the property. <br /> 6. That the Buyer will pay the full amount of his or her bid before the conclusion of the auction. <br /> Failure to make payment on the date of the auction cancels the buyer's bid. <br /> 7.
