VII. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS <br /> Commissioner Cameron Sharpe raised concerns regarding trash and junk cars that were <br /> expressed by an individual who lives in the ETJ and asked the County Attorney for <br /> guidance related to what the County could do to address the junk vehicle issue. County <br /> Attorney Whitney Parrish stated that in the ETJ the City's zoning applies but only the <br /> County's general police powers for enforcement would apply. Dr. Crumpton stated that <br /> the Board would need to adopt an enforcement mechanism. When it was previously <br /> discussed, Solid Waste Superintendent Joseph Cherry was proposed to aid in the <br /> enforcement. Commissioner Reives commended the Board of Elections, the Elections <br /> Director, the Sheriff's Department and the City of Sanford Police Department for ensuring <br /> a safe and proper election took place on November 3rd. <br /> Motion: Motion to direct staff to take a look at drafting a proposed ordinance <br /> related to junk cars. <br /> Mover: Cameron Sharpe <br /> For: 7 - Arianna Lavallee, Dr. Andre Knecht, Robert Reives, Cameron Sharpe, Kirk <br /> Smith, Bill Carver, Mark Lovick <br /> Motion Result: Passed <br /> VIII.
