PUBLIC COMMENTS Pursuant to N.C. General Statute 153A-52.1, the floor was open for public comments. The following people provided comments: - Paula Fine 212 Beaufort Drive, Sanford, NC (Support for In God We Trust on County buildings) - Rev. Bruce Macinnes, 1611 Carbonton Road, Sanford, NC (In God We Trust support) - submitted via e-mail IV. OLD BUSINESS IV.A Request to apply "In God We Trust" motto on exterior of certain County owned buildings. Mr. Rick Lanier, with the US Motto Action Committee presented an offer to place the motto "In God We Trust"on the Lee County Government Center building, Courthouse, and in the Commissioner's Chambers. Mr. Lanier stated that 57 counties and 44 town halls have accepted the offer in North Carolina. Vice Chair Arianna Lavallee read aloud the Resolution to display the national motto "In God We Trust"at the Lee County Courthouse, Government Center, and Board of Commissioners' Chamber, a copy of which is attached and incorporated into these minutes.
