24 618 <br />�r <br />vEGER i u <br />updated 11/1/2011 <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) <br />Vehicle Camera and Software Project <br />This MOU is designed to detail expectations of everyone participating so the project starts out <br />with shared expectations. <br />Lead Funding <br />A enc <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation, Public Transportation Division <br />Primary funder of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Vehicle <br />Camera Project agrees: <br />• To provide funding for the implementation and training costs for the <br />approved NC Transit systems with American Reinvestment and <br />Recovery Act (ARRA) and state funds. <br />• To have an implementation team to schedule and provide oversight for <br />the mobile digital video recording camera (MDVR) project. <br />• To schedule implementation by eligible system prioritization and / or <br />region. <br />• To expect as a requirement of funding that each agency will follow the <br />Roles and <br />implied and actual intent of this agreement and the requirements stated <br />Responsibilities <br />within. <br />• To issue one or more purchase orders for all equipment, installation <br />and training as specified in the bid for all eligible transit systems. <br />• To process an amendment to Safety and Security Plans and processes. <br />• To provide sample policies and procedures for management, oversight <br />and maintenance of the camera system. <br />• To ensure all installations are completed within 18 months once the bid <br />is awarded. <br />• A statewide contract will be maintained and available for additional and <br />replacement cameras and DVR systems. <br />Contact <br />Miriam Perry, Director <br />
