VI. MANAGERS REPORTS <br /> VI.A August 2020 Financial Report <br /> Assistant County Manager/Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the Monthly <br /> Financial Report for August 2020. Tax collections as a percentage of the budget <br /> through August 2020 is 1.09% behind of the same period last year. In reviewing <br /> expenditures, the percentage used target is 16.67%. Many of the departments are <br /> above target due to payment of HSA deposits, annual premiums on workers' <br /> compensation insurance and property liability insurance, annual dues, and annual <br /> maintenance agreements in the month of July and the inclusion of the encumbrance <br /> column. The plans for the Hales Center are ready to be bid. Friday, <br /> September 18th was the deadline for the CARES Act submissions. This morning the <br /> County had received 9 applications with the plan to issue the grant funds by <br /> October 1st. The beaver management program will be on the October 19th meeting <br /> agenda to consider whether to continue the program paying an increased cost <br /> which is estimated to go from what the county is currently paying at about$6,000 <br /> annually to $20,000. Dr. Crumpton also mentioned that the Health Department will <br /> continue with community testing on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. through the end <br /> of October by appointment.
