V. NEW BUSINESS <br />V.A Request from the Board of Elections <br />Susan Feindel, Chair of the Lee County Board of Election introduced Jeni <br />Harris, the new Elections Director for Lee County. There have been multiple <br />requests from both political parties to provide portable toilets at election sites. <br />The portable toilets will be utilized by electioneers and can be used by the <br />public. Staff was requested to get bids to provide portable toilets along with a <br />sink. The Lee County Board of Elections voted to request that the Board of <br />Commissioners consider funding the supply of portable toilets at all Early Voting <br />and Election Day sites. The fees are for the duration of One Stop and Election <br />Day. The One Stop sites would be pumped once a week. For regular and ADA <br />units along with sink units the total was $4,080. Another vendor quoted $2,640 <br />but the quote does not include sink units. Commissioner Reives stated the <br />budget should include enough to cover sanitizing. County Manager John <br />Crumpton recommended allocating at least $10,000 for the anticipated <br />expense.
