In 2011 the County did a survey and approved putting a splash pad at Horton Park. Horton Park includes renovations to the playground equipment, parking lot, basketball court, and walking trail. The second phase includes a splash pad. There will be some changes to the fencing at the baseball field and staff will evaluate redoing the lighting in Phase ll. As part of the Horton Park discussion, the County Manager stated that he has had discussions with Brick Capital about the park and the low-income housing in the area. Brick Capital is looking for a sponsor for grant funding.
