AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br />OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />WHEREAS, a request to amend the Official Zoning Map has been received from Sandhills <br />Partnership to rezone two adjoining tracts of land totaling 4.86 +/- acres developed with a house <br />addressed as 6400 Old Jefferson Davis Hwy and a mobile home park addressed as 15, 25, 35, 45, <br />and 65 Azalea Lane (formerly known as the Wilbur R. Stephens Mobile Home Park), and <br />identified as Lee County tax parcels 9528-93-8685-00 and 9528-93-6769-00 on tax maps 9538 <br />and 9528, from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Azalea Lane Conditional Zoning District, with <br />the intent being to expand an existing mobile home park via a site plan specific conditional <br />zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, said request has been presented to the Planning Board of Lee County; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners conducted a public hearing on July 20, <br />2020 to receive citizen input on the requested zoning map amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners approves the request to amend the <br />Official Zoning Map of Lee County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE LEE COUNTY BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS: <br />The Official Zoning Map is hereby amended to rezone two adjoining tracts of land totaling 4.86 <br />+/- acres developed with a house addressed as 6400 Old Jefferson Davis Hwy and a mobile home <br />park addressed as 15, 25, 35, 45, and 65 Azalea Lane (formerly known as the Wilbur R. Stephens <br />Mobile Home Park), and identified as Lee County tax parcels 9528-93-8685-00 and 9528-93- <br />6769-00 on tax maps 9538 and 9528, from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Azalea Lane <br />Conditional Zoning District, with the intent being to expand an existing mobile home park via a <br />site plan specific conditional zoning district A map of the subject properties is included as <br />Exhibit A. <br />In making this decision, the Lee County Board of Commissioners hereby finds finds that the <br />rezoning proposal from Residential Agricultural (RA) to the Azalea Lane Conditional Zoning <br />District appears to be reasonable and in the public interest since it would allow the expansion of <br />
