eooK 24 AR 488 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Pursuant to N.C. General Statute 153A -52.1, Chairman Shook opened the floor for Public <br />Comments. The following signed up to speak and were allowed 3 minutes for comments: <br />1. Keith Clark, 212 Acorn Drive, Sanford <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Triangle South Workforce Development Board. At <br />the September 19, 2011 meeting, Dr. Bud Marchant from Central Carolina Community College asked <br />the Board of Commissioners to appoint a Public Employment Service representative to the Triangle <br />South Workforce Development Board. Chairman Shook recommended Mr. Josephus Thompson, <br />Manager of the Employment Security Commission to serve in said position. Commissioner Reives <br />moved to accept the recommendation of Mr. Josephus Thompson to the Triangle South Workforce <br />Development Board for a 3 -year term. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for the Pay and Classification Study. Human Resource Director <br />Joyce McGehee stated that per Lee County's Financial Policy, a Pay and Classification Study must be <br />conducted every five years. Request for Proposals were issued in July with the following proposals <br />received: <br />COMPANY LOCATION BID <br />MAG Virginia $34,975 <br />Evergreen Solutions Florida $28,000 <br />Springsted Virginia $33,150 plus <br />$3,600 in expenses <br />Archer South Carolina $29,573 <br />Condrey Georgia $39,500 <br />Mapps North Carolina $21,000 plus <br />Segal Georgia $80,000 <br />Fox Lawson Washington, DC $64,700 <br />Nash and Co. California $250.00 per hour <br />Waters Group Texas $47,900 plus <br />TWG Iowa $41,500 <br />2 <br />
