0 s n1 10 337 <br />Article IV. Outside-County <br />Section 1. The Lee County Ambulance Service may respond to emergency <br />ca-T within 4 or 5 miles of Lee County. The Ambulance Director <br />will establish fixed boundaries beyond which calls will not be answered. <br />Requests for assistance beyond these boundaries will be relayed by the <br />Ambulance Service to appropriate agencies within the adjacent county. <br />Section 2. The Lee County Ambulance Service will respond to requests <br />for assistance from out-of-county agencies as follows: <br />a. Where mutual aid agreements are in effect. <br />b. In case of a true emergency where personnel and equipment <br />are available. <br />Section 3. Non-emergency transfers to and from hospitals outside of <br />the county may be made on a second priority basis by the Ambulance <br />Service under the following conditions: <br />a. The call must be requested by a local physician. <br />b. Such calls may be made only when arrangements have been <br />made for continued coverage of the county. <br />c. Such calls will be done only on a cash basis. <br />d. Non-emergency transfers will not be made between the hours <br />of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. <br />e. Upon delivery of a patient to an out-of-county hospital, the <br />Ambulance Service will return immediately to Lee County. <br />Adopted this lst day of March, 1982. <br />
