a~ 10 401 <br />The Board next considered proposals received for auctioneer <br />servicespin disposing of surplus property. No decision on selection of an auctioneer <br />was made at this time. <br />The Board next considered the space needs for the Department of <br />Social Services. Mr. Gunderson and Mr. Brewer's figures relative to costs were <br />presented to the Board and the matter was discussed at length. Following the <br />discussion, Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the Board request AMI <br />to release part of the old County Hospital building and allow the County to move its <br />Department of Social Services to that building and for the County to spend $25, 000. 00 <br />to prepare the area for use by such department. Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners, Dotterer, Funderburke, Nielsen <br />and Harmon voted for it and Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker voted against it. The <br />Chairman ruled the motion had carried by a majority vote. <br />The County Manager presented a Budget Amendment entitled <br />''Appropriation Adjustment #8231514', a copy of which is attached to these minutes <br />and by this reference made a part hereof. Manager Hartman explained that the <br />purpose of this amendment was to reflect the City's portion of the Airport expense. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the budget amendment entitled "Approp- <br />riation Adjustment 08231514", be approved and adopted. Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager reported to the Board that he had approved <br />the transfer of $1, 000. 00 from printing, to information money in the Sheriff's <br />Department budget. <br />The Department of Social Services presented a budget concerning <br />the Crisis Intervention money for the energy program, a'copy of which is attached <br />hereto and by•this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner John E. Dotterer <br />moved that the proposal for the Crisis Intervention money be approved. Commiss- <br />ioner Lila P. Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The request of the Board of Trustees of the Lee County Library <br />for permission to use the balance in the construction fund for the purpose of a <br />telephone system reader-printer and shelf files for the Library, was approved, <br />upon motion of Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, seconded by Commissioner Jack <br />D. Funderburke, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />The written request of Mr. Clyde K. Atkins, for refund and <br />release in the amount of $127.41, as set forth in release #273 in the office of the <br />Tax Supervisor, from double listing of property in Greenwood Township, was <br />approved upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, which motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke and unanimously adopted upon <br />a vote. <br />
