no 10 4. 10 <br />and its contents, Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, Lee County wishes to establish <br />procurement procedures and a code of conduct for its <br />Community Development Programs #B-80-DN-37-0071 <br />and #B-81-DN-37-0076, and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has developed both a Pro- <br />curement Procedure and Code of Conduct for adoption; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the <br />Board. of Commissioners of Lee County adopt, approve and <br />accept the Procurement Procedure and Code of Conduct as <br />developediand authorizes the Chairman of the Lee County <br />Board.of Commissioners to execute the same. <br />Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote, the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next received bids for the purchase of three automobiles <br />for use by the Sheriff's Department. The bids received were as follows: <br />Womble Chevrolet $27,097.35 <br />State Chrysler-Plymouth $27, 812. 55 <br />After discussion of the specifications, Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen moved that the low bid of Womble Chevrolet be accepted. Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer seconded the motion and upon a.vote, the motion was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The Board next reviewed and discussed the draft setting forth the <br />policies concerning use of vending machinees on county property. No formal action <br />on such policies was taken at this meeting. <br />The tax releases and reliefs prepared by the Tax Supervisor were <br />presented to the Board and reviewed. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that <br />the release for taxes represented by release receipts 261-266 and 268-272 and the <br />refund for Donna Marie Suggs be approved and authorized. Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen seconded the motion and upon a vote the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that Dr. J. M. McKinnon <br />be appointed a rabies inspector and authorized and directed to conduct a program of <br />vaccination. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote, the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />
