MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, April 19, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room on <br />the second floor of the County Office Building, at 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, at 7:00 o'clock p. m. , on Monday, April 19, 1982. Those present <br />when the meeting was called to order were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, <br />K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer was absent but later joined the meeting. The Chairman declared that a <br />quorum was present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />County Manager Walter B. Hartman gave the invocation. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting held on April 5, 1982, were <br />approved and ordered recorded upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, <br />seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted <br />upon a vote. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting and participated <br />in the further deliberations of the Board. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the portion of Secondary <br />Road 1583 for which the Department of Transportation owns a right of way but which <br />has not been added to the State system for maintenance be added to the system and <br />taken over for maintenance by the Department of Transportation. Commissioner <br />Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The roster of the Carolina Trace Volunteer Fire Department , <br />a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, <br />was approved and ordered certified to the appropriate State agencies, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Lila P. Nielsen and unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the title to the <br />automobile presently assigned to Mr. Billy Ray Cameron, Emergency Management <br />Officer, be transferred to the City of Sanford, in order to have a joint title to the <br />property.
