MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, NORTH CAROLINA Monday, April 19, 1982 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, at 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, at 7:00 o'clock p. m. , on Monday, April 19, 1982. Those present when the meeting was called to order were Commissioners Jack D. Funderburke, K. S. Harmon, Lila P. Nielsen, and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John E. Dotterer was absent but later joined the meeting. The Chairman declared that a quorum was present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman K. S. Harmon presided and the following business was transacted: County Manager Walter B. Hartman gave the invocation. The minutes of the regular meeting held on April 5, 1982, were approved and ordered recorded upon motion of Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. Commissioner John E. Dotterer joined the meeting and participated in the further deliberations of the Board. Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the portion of Secondary Road 1583 for which the Department of Transportation owns a right of way but which has not been added to the State system for maintenance be added to the system and taken over for maintenance by the Department of Transportation. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. The roster of the Carolina Trace Volunteer Fire Department , a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, was approved and ordered certified to the appropriate State agencies, upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, which motion was seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen and unanimously adopted upon a vote. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the title to the automobile presently assigned to Mr. Billy Ray Cameron, Emergency Management Officer, be transferred to the City of Sanford, in order to have a joint title to the property. Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. u^~i 10 rtfE 414
