e3q 10 ;,u 431 0 <br />The change order for additional engineering services by <br />Williams & Works, in the San-Lee Heights area, was presented to the Board. <br />The change order was approved, upon motion of Commissioner John E. <br />Dotterer, seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, which motion was <br />unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, seconded <br />by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke, it was unanimously resolved to lease <br />a surplus ambulance to the local organization of the Civil Air Patrol, for <br />$1.00 per year, upon the Lessee providing liability insurance for the benefit <br />of the County, in the amount of $500, 000. 00. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that Wednesday, June <br />21 1982, be declared Teacher Appreciation Day in Lee County, and that the <br />resolution to that effect, which is attached to these minutes and by this reference <br />made a part hereof, be adopted by the Board. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The proposed rate schedules for Cable TV in the County were <br />presented to the Board by representatives of the Cass Cable TV. The Board <br />approved such rate changes on the first reading, upon motion of Commissioner <br />John E. Dotterer, seconded by Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen, which motion <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />Representatives of the Lee County Board of Education, appeared <br />before the Board, and Superintendent Johnson reviewed the budget request in detail. <br />The monthly release report for April 1982, as prepared by the <br />Tax Supervisor's office, was presented to the Board. Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen moved that releases be granted in accordance with said report, a copy <br />of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. Comm- <br />issioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unani- <br />mously adopted. <br />The Board next discussed the Mental Health Program and its <br />operation. The pay plan presented for Mental Health was approved by the Board, <br />upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, seconded by Commissioner Lila <br />P. Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />The County Manager, Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , presented <br />to the Board a summary of the budget request. <br />The County Manager was requested to write the City about <br />removing shrubbery along the right of way of various roads. <br />The Board went into Executive Session to consider matters <br />pertaining to real estate, upon motion of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, <br />which motion was seconded by Commissioner Jack D. Funderburke and <br />
