A& 421n~ 10 r.'• f 439 <br />Clerk was instructed to advertise the offer for said land in accordance <br />with law for consideration by the Board at a subsequent meeting. <br />Commissioner Lila P. Nielsen moved that the Board go into <br />Executive Session to discuss a land purchase offer and pending litigation. Comm- <br />issioner Jack D. Funderburke seconded the motion and upon a vote the motion was <br />unanimously adopted. Following a brief executive session, during which no formal <br />action was taken, the Board re-convened and continued its open session. <br />Commissioner John E. Dotterer moved that the County Manager <br />be authorized to negotiate with Harry Thomas concerning acquisition of property <br />at the corner of Elm and Courtland Drive. <br />The Board took up for consideration a policy regarding group <br />insurance payments for employees who were on leave without pay. Upon motion <br />of Commissioner John E. Dotterer, duly seconded by Commissioner Lila P. <br />Nielsen, which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote, it was resolved to <br />continue the present policy which requests the employee to pay the costs of both <br />individual coverage and the family coverage to remain in our group during the <br />period when he is on leave without pay. <br />There being no further business to corfie Kefore the session, it <br />was adjourned, sine die. <br />CHAIRMAN <br />CLERK <br />
